Description

The list of work items displayed in "My Work -> Available Work Items" is different to the one shown if clicking My Work -> Available Work Items -> Current Tasks. Editing the query has an effect in the displayed My Work -> Available Work Items, but it's unpredictable.
This is a blocking item when trying to add an item to "In Progress Work", since it's impossible to find the item required. Even changing the query to display a specific item, given the ID, the Available Work Items does NOT show the item.

Thanks Gustavo, this behavior is by design with the out-of-the-box queries. I've posted in the workaround section how to save your custom query in such a way that you get the behavior you expect. If this doesn't behave correctly, please reopen the bug.

Gustavo, here's the workaround to the behavior you found.
When you open the query, if it is one of the ones at the top of the list above the delimiter, then these are synthesized queries, not savable ones.
if you are already using a personal query below the separator, then please post back, as that shoudl work.

In the synthesized case, you're not actually opening the query we run, but rather a new one with the same parameters. In that case, you need to save your query as a new named query on the server as a top level item under the My Queries folder. if you then go back and refresh your MyWork window, you'll find that your new named query is available in the query picker dropdown. This one should then behave as you describe on update.
