I'm currently using Visual Studio to simulate the vibration of beams. If the models of the beams I'm handling can be inserted onto source code as an image, I can communicate to others about the performed process more easily as well as review the simulation more conveniently later.

So if images can be inserted onto source code like Office Word, Visual Studio would be much easier to use. Can you please consider introducing this feature?

It may be difficult to insert binary data such as images into source code, but, for instance, how about the feature that enables to preview img elements in XML comments?

Thank you for logging this suggestion. We actually have implemented image insertion for source code as a sample extension for the Visual Studio Editor. I'm resolving this issue as Won't Fix for VS 2010 because we don't plan to add built-in support for images in source code, but I hope you find the Image Insertion sample helpful. Thanks for trying VS 2010 Beta2 and sending your feedback!

ところで、 現在の Visual Studio 2008 でも、 XML コメント中に img 要素 ( img タグ ) を埋め込むことは可能です。 Visual Studio のサポートが無いため、 src 属性の解釈がソースコードからの相対パスにならない ( ドキュメントを最終的に生成するツールに依存する ) という欠点はありますが、 Sandcastle などで生成したドキュメントに画像を埋め込むことはできます。 ⇒ http://bluewatersoft.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2009/11/sandcastle-help.html

Visual Studio が XML コメント中の img 要素に対応してくれて、 IDE 上で画像が「プレビュー」できるようになると良いかもしれませんね。

biacさんのおっしゃる通りで
IDE上で画像が表示できるだけでも十分に効果がでると思います．

その場合，複数のモデルを取り扱うのでモデルの画像とコードの対応が
分かりやすくなりる機能があると良いと思います．
