Description

The most thing we notice about Bing map comparing to Google Map is that the Road Map is not detailed at all, just compare :
- https://www.google.com/maps/preview#!data=!1m4!1m3!1d7601!2d2.7444837!3d36.6600605 ( this is my town , and i've add it through Map Maker )

Google Gives people the choice of editing Roads map , and after a review process , if they found that the item is "accurate", they add it to the public map.

why 'Bing' doesn't contain such a feature ?

Remarque : most people uses " Google Map API " instead of " Bing map API " because of the accuracy of Google map.

from Wikipédia " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Map_Maker " : The ultimate goal of the project is to acquire sufficient high-quality mapping data to be published and used on the existing Google Maps service.

Thank you !

This is a most-needed feature as outside the USA Bing Maps are very behind of Google Maps. Fortunately in Nokia's Windows Phone (I don't know about the rest of partners) Bing uses HERE Data...

I am a loyal Bing Search user.

My rule is: If I can't find it on Bing, I'll try finding it on Google. If one day I always find myself always searching again on Google, then that's the day I'll make Google Search the default.

So far, Bing Web Search is winning.

But Bing Maps is unfortunate. With no mapping tool, why would I use it to browse the map of our place, when Google Maps or Open Street Maps displays up-to-date Crowd-Sourced information?

It's a shame, Bing Maps has better satellite imagery, but all of it becomes useless when you start to look for streets names and place names for any country outside the USA.

1. You have to prioritize adding a Crowd-Sourcing tool to annotate Bing Maps.

2. OR mitigate this for the meantime, but BRINGING BACK the OpenStreetMaps MAP APP you removed. I saw that app it was the reason I can be independent from Google Maps.

This was exactly what I was going to post. I searched "tattoo" into bing maps and got some results. When I followed the directions to one of them, I found that the place is shut down! I Thought Bing Maps gave useres the ability to edit the map and upload it to the cloud where it would get peer reviewed and added to the public...

Use OpenStreetMap or Google Maps for the ability to crowd-source Road Information.
