Bing should be modified to offer the feature of google maps which simply queries "Search Nearby". The user then puts in any name of any business, point of interest, service of any kind and it automatically finds them and places them on the map. However in Bing you have to go through some categorization tree to find just what category your item is in before you can enter it. This makes the user do the work instead of the computer. Bing should figure out what category it is in and find all matches and map them. Many times I switched to google maps because I couldn't find the category in the Bing list. Also when an Address is found it puts a bing info box that points at the address and there is no way to remove it; which makes it difficult to see some nearby things on the map. In google you can remove it or get it back; Bing should do the same.

I agree. Try this. I am looking for a car rental place nearby Newark airport...
1. Go to Bing Maps. Search for "Newark Liberty"
2. I get one match, which is great. But I am looking for the nearest car rental.
Question: I don't see anyway to easily do this. Is there?

one1611 - I find the lack of "Search Nearby" annoying also, but in regards to your statement :
"Also when an Address is found it puts a Bing info box that points at the address and there is no way to remove it".
You *should* be able to simply left click somewhere else on the map to remove the annoying info box without any serious side effects.
