Please consider a feature request to add a formain painter in One Note as the lack of it is quite frustrting when adding content form multiple sources into one note as there is no easy way to quick change all the formatting to be the same.

Yes, please!!! OneNote is a wonderful product, but it's very surprising that something so very dependent upon text and clippings doesn't have the ability to easily format text like other text around it.

I too am very surprised to find this feature missing. Indeed, the ribbon would make the whole thing more productive for me, but first-things-first - please add the format painter.

Thanks,

Stephen.

I'm really disappointed. Onenote is a great program and you almost cripple it without a format painter. The ability to paste in text from different sources is absolutely diminished by having to spend a bunch of time clicking around to get the format to match the rest of your page.
If nothing else, this would be a great new power toy that would satisfy a large group of onenote users. Or someone is going to make a lot of money selling a onenote add on that brings in format painter.
We pay a lot of money for office/onenote and stand alones like onenote and upgrades. How about a little love here? How hard can it be to create a power toy for this?

Fully agree! Have been using OneNote more and more of late, and the need to pre-format everything in the "donor" program is awkward at best.

IMHO the "Format Painter" is an importnat feature.

For taking on the Office 2007 title this product is lagging behind in modern features. It's not a word processor but even PowerPoint can format text.

It is extremely frustrating to not have a paste special options (such as paste format) - the most important of which is Format Painter. I enjoy many of the other onenote features, however the lack of this basic feature is disconcerning.

ONENOTE USERS, IT'S AS EASY AS 1-2-3!
-------------------------------------------------
STEP 1: Gather information from a myriad of sources

STEP 2: Quickly and easily auto-format it for consistency (??????? Oops! Forgot to put these tools in!)

STEP 3: Enjoy your organized, cohesive notes!

The function of the Format Painter is a fundamental REQUIREMENT in OneNote. However, it should be adapted for OneNote's text box heavy layout. Rather than manually applying the format to each box, there should be an auto-format button to apply formatting to a page/section/notebook.

To keep users focused on the CONTENT of their notebooks, the FORMATTING should be automatic.

It's potentially a great app. Thanks!
