When trying to dcpromo a Server 2008 core installation, you are forced to use the unattended dcpromo option. I have not been able to find any support tools for generating such an unattended file, the setupmgr.exe in deplaoy.cab (Server 2003) only gives options for the Server installation and does not provide any options for an unattend file for dcpromo. Manually creating an unattend file does not prove very easy. There are many conflicts while trying the sample unattend file on technet.

One thing that ive noticed over the years here at work is that people are frustrated when an application has an error and is forced to close. Hello, I only finished installed Active Directory Rights Management Server role, and was quite puzzled when I encountered the screen to add a RMS Service Account. This requirement is similar to RMS 1.0 SP2 available for W2k3, where you are required to create an domain user account and RMS assigns the account as a service account.
