The Application icon selected in General Properties shows in a Windows deployment but not in a Web deployment.

I expected it would take the place of favicon.ico in the case of a web deplyment.

This would be nice to have in branding applications rather than having the "generic" icon displayed.

Thanks in advance, Mark.

Hi Yann -

Thanks for the suggestion. As discussed in the forum thread, LightSwitch uses Silverlight for the client and the icon is set in the Silverlight out of browser settings file. This settings file is only applicable to LightSwitch desktop applications (which use the Silverlight out of browser host).

We'll keep your suggestion in mind - we'll see if we can think of a way to improve this scenario in the future.

Thanks for the suggestion!
- The LightSwitch Team

As I mentioned in the forum post, http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/lightswitch/thread/29156b5e-6b8a-48d5-8f65-3a21d3fd3980, that spawned this suggestion here:

There are some problems with the displaying of icons, even in OOB apps. I think one of the main reasons, at least in the Out Of Browser scenario, is that LS is only providing one 32x32 sized icon, so if anything requires a different sized icon, it doesn't get displayed, becuase LS has nothing for it to display
