User(s) can reproduce this bug
When installing a LightSwitch Desktop (Out-of-browser) application, the application icon that shows up in the Start Menu (and, thus, a desktop shortcut and pinned taskbar icon) are generic, blank icons rather than the actual application icon that I specify in the application configuration.

This looks incredibly unprofessional.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new LS Desktop application.
2. Specify the application icons in the application configuration.
3. Deploy the application.

5. Observe the blank application icon in the Start Menu.

Operating System

Actual results

An installed LightSwitch desktop application yields a blank, generic icon in the Start Menu.

Expected results

When an application icon is specified in the application configuration, the installed application should use that icon in the Start Menu, rather than the blank, generic icon.

Are you (or is anyone else) aware of a workaround or hack to fix this?

Thank you for your feedback. The current behavior is the default behavior of the deployment technology we are using. We have investigated what it would take to override this behavior, but will not be able to do so for this release. We already have this on our backlog.

-Thanks.
