I can reproduce the following problem.
If I click 'create databinding' you can see the databinding screen flash for a split second, but It disappears. The blend application itself is waiting for input to be able to continue. If you click on any-part of blend you here a 'bling' sound.
Push escape and you again can work in blend (which actually closes the disappeared screen).

This only happens when you have a two screen setup and you have configured that the desktop should be shown on screen 2 and that the deskopt should be extended.
Setting to display the desktop on monitor 1 and extend, and the problem does not occur.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to address this particular issue in the next release of Visual Studio. However, we will monitor feedback around this area, and take action if enough reports of this issue are encountered (please vote up!).
