Why was this site set up?
Our goal is to create a community around product feedback and provide you with a channel for communication with the engineering teams working on Visual Studio and the .NET framework. We want to partner with you to keep improving these products.
What happens to bug and suggestions once they are submitted through this site?
The Bugs and suggestions you submit are opened as work items in our bug tracking database. They are first reviewed by our Connect Frontline Team which tries to reproduce them on the latest version of the product. They will also work with you to obtain more details or information about the steps to reproduce the behavior you are seeing. Once they get all the information they need, it will be submitted to the product team to be reviewed.
How long will it take for me to get a resolution?
It varies. Teams get a number of Bugs and suggestions through the Connect site and they will keep reviewing all the bugs and suggestions you submit. These will be prioritized with the rest of their work items and they will fix the appropriate bugs and suggestions. When your bugs or suggestions are fixed, they will appear in the next service pack or major release.
What if I have a question or if I need more information about Visual Studio and the .Net Framework?
We encourage you to submit questions in the
MSDN Forums, which have a support staff of technology experts dedicated to assisting you in finding the best solution to your issue. We also recommend visiting the
MSDN Developer Centers which contain a rich set of information about these products.
What do I do if I have an issue related to the Connect Site?
