If I install a package build with KB2467175's vcredist it works fine; if I then install an older package (built with the previous redist) then the newer (KB2467175) redist is uninstalled automatically (the "older" redistributable package has a higher version number (8.0.59193)than the "newer" one (8.0.51011), and it is configured to automatically uninstall previous version numbers). Therefore the new package's programs fail with a side by side configuration error.

Consume merge modules when packaging your application in an MSI instead of relying on the redistributable.

Install apps in order
Built with older redist then built with newer redist; However this is easily broken by subsequently installing an app built with older redist.
