Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) is a .NET Framework component used for building workflow-enabled applications. This platform highlights tooling for designing and implementing workflows, a programming model to control and communicate with workflows, a rules engine, a workflow execution engine, and a set of services for persistence, tracking and transaction management for your workflow.
Through this site, you can:
- Submit suggestions and feedback for new/existing features in which the Windows Workflow Foundation Product Team will evaluate for future versions
- Report errors in the product, tooling and documentation that will be investigated by the Product Team
- Find out about the different resources you can use to learn about WF
- Be aware of upcoming advancements for WF

Where can I obtain Windows Workflow Foundation?
To obtain the latest copy of Windows Workflow Foundation, please download .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
The core Workflow components shipped in .NET Framework 3.0 and you will find additional features such as Workflow Enabled Services (integration with WCF) and improvements in the designer/rules engine in .NET Framework 3.5.
As well, Windows Workflow Foundation shipped on the Windows Vista platform (Vista RTM has 3.0 RTM, Vista SP1 has 3.0 SP1) and on the Windows Server 2008 platform (3.0 SP1).
The upcoming release of Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP1 will contain 3.0 SP2 (aka .NET 3.5 SP1) already included on the Operating System.
