I too would like to see these 2 limitations lifted, just a shame it is not in this version of IE :-(

Thank you for your feedback.

We were not able to address this issue in the current plans for IE 9. However, we will revisit this issue in a future version of Internet Explorer.

We continue to welcome more feedback so please don't hesitate to report to us other ways we can improve Internet Explorer.

Best regards,

The IE Team

In Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview 2 the whole browser crashes when trying to load a page with more than 31 stylesheets.

Unfortunately combining the available stylesheets is not always a viable workaround because of a similar and less known IE limitation, described in this bug report here:

Hi Telerik and John,

Great Products...

That has always been the case with IE browsers.

When using your products, as a workaround I choose my own custom styles for telerik web controls and consolidate then into individual Alternate Stylesheet links.

See http://www.iecustomizer.com

Each call to an external stylesheet, script or image means another round-trip back to the server. Slowing down the page load.

Another shortcomming of Telerik RAD controls is individual images for things like buttons on the RAD Edit control.

Pages are quicker to load if you use the one image sprite instead of multiple image files.

see http://www.websiteoptimization.com/ for an explanation of why you should consider how many external stylesheets, scripts and images.

Regards.

I will see if I can catch you at your forum.
