The calc() expression doesn't support parenthesis which is required by the spec draft, see

Firefox 4.0 will support parenthesis inside calc()

This issue was resolved in Internet Explorer 9 RC and the Platform Preview Build released on 2/10/2011. Please verify the change and file a new feedback (or reactivate the existing one) if the problem persists.

This issue seems to be fixed as of Platform Preview 8 / RC 1.

One more issue - when setting such expression via DOM ( = "calc(1px+(2px+3px))";), it throws "Unspecified error" exception.
