Description

All the latest non-IE browsers outperform IE10 in a well-known Google V8 benchmark test.

@ysitu, I have updated the score of IE10 RTM desktop and metro. I tested the other browsers on Windows 7 and core i3 machine. The latter IE10 RTM is tested on Windows RTM on Pentium Dual processor. Apparently, IE10 is scoring for second or at least 3rd position for this benchmark, if the test is run on the same machine.

Can any of you at Microsoft post the latest Chrome and IE10 scores measured in your own settings?

We are unable to reproduce the performance difference you are seeing. We have also checked Version 7 of benchmark suite and saw consistent and lot of improvement in the scores over Internet Explorer 9.

The issue is still present in IE10 RP 6th preview. I have updated the results. Please consider fixing the performance issues in the JS engine.

This issue was resolved in Internet Explorer 10 Platform Preview 4 released on 11/29/2011. You can install Platform Preview 4 from: http://connect.microsoft.com/ie. Please verify the change and file a new feedback (or reactivate the existing one) if the problem persists.
