we have a image capture tool, which captures images of certain application.
Image capture fails for Internet explorer 10 on Win8 machine. On exploring we tried using Microsoft Spy++ (Version 10.00.30319) to capture the IE Frame but the SPy++ tool gives only the title bar and the status bar, the content view of the Internet explorer is not getting captured. We are getting a white screen whenever we capture the Internet application on Win8. The same capture application works fine on Windows 7 IE10.

Thank you for your feedback.

Resolving as external, the behavior described is not limited to IE, looks like something OS-wide introduced in Win8. The bug describes screen capture not working, if there are repro steps around screen capture not working specific to IE please re-open this bug. We do extra work to allow the content of the page to come through on screen captures, there has been work in IE10 and IE11 around this and it's entirely possible we changed something that broke your screen capture scenario and the Spy++ behavior is just a red herring.

Best regards,

The Internet Explorer Team
