I have one problem about the IE 11 from Windows 7, is the only browser that keep a permanent highlight color on a optgroup label. I created many examples like this with two select boxes, and the second one is filled by the first selection. After I choose one options from the second select box, that option have one permanent hover color.

One example here:

Do you have a solution yet? I have this issue since december 2013
When I use the optgroup in a select and the select is inside an updatepanel, I have a strange issue since IE 11 is installed.

The selected value keeps being highlighted althought the cursor is in another field.

<asp:UpdatePanel ID="updpnlContent" runat="server">
        <optgroup label="Alkaline Metals">
         <option>Lithium (Li)</option>
         <option>Sodium (Na)</option>
         <option>Potassium (K)</option>
        <optgroup label="Halogens">
         <option>Fluorine (F)</option>
         <option>Chlorine (Cl)</option>
         <option>Bromine (Br)</option>

Thanks for any response that can help me!
