RunningPackage.InstanceID is essentially defined as the same thing as System::ExecutionInstanceGUID, however, when comparing them on the same package execution, they do not match.

Also, when viewing a running package in Enterprise Manager, running a report on the running package shows the Execution GUID as the same value as RunningPackage.InstanceID.  

So it appears there are several places that show different execution GUIDs throughout SSIS.
