Description

Currently sys.dm_os_waiting_tasks gives the current wait stats of a session. The problem with this is that wait information is very volatile and gets reset with every new 'wait'. There is however no easy way of getting the total waittime per waittype for a session or a specific query.

Great!
I will test it in the CTP.

Hi Wesley,
Just wanted to update the thread with the latest information. This capability will be present in SQL 2008 by using the Extended Event feature by enabling the "wait_info" event.

Thanks,
