Description

When using the Query Designer to graphically edit a query in Sql Server Management Studio (SSMS), if you choose Add Table then go to the Synonyms tab, no user-defined synonyms are listed.

I am having this same problem in SQL Server 2008 SP1. I hope it is just me; otherwise, it is fairly pathetic that a bug like this can persist through multiple service packs and even a new version of SQL Server. Is it true that this is still a bug today?

Thank you for reporting the defect. This has been verified to be problem in our existing builds.

We will try to address this in the coming releases of SQL Server.
