Description

When attempting to delete an existing Database Mail Profile  in SSMS, I get this error:

I have found a solution!!

Try this tsql.

select * from msdb.dbo.sysmail_profile

msdb.dbo.sysmail_delete_profile_sp @profile_id = <profile_id>

I have closed this bug not repro - we can not reproduce this issue in house with SQL2008.

Thanks for reporting your problem deleting db mail profiles. It looks like we may be able to address this in our next major release.
