It should be possible to save a report as Powerpoint.document. The report should then be rendered in powerpoint. This should be possible from the preview sheet of SSRS (see screenshot) as well as from the Report Manager. The tool Aspose.Slides has such functionality for the report manager.

This feature has been added in SQL Server 2016 CTP 2.4.

This is ironical that I have to deliver a few SSRS reports to Microsoft users as PPT export, and having to consider a third party such as Aspose to do this. Despite this thread being opened for such a long time, there is no clear indication whether we would ever get this functionality.

It has been almost 6 years since this thread was opened and the feature is still not available in the release of SQL 2012. Is this suggestion/feature request a lost cause? This would be a very beneficial add to SSRS and it doesn't appear any more difficult than a Word export which is already available since earlier releases. What gives?

i'm adding this comment simply to keep the thread alive.
I've just sat in an ADS with a major mining group and their #1 request for RS was the capability to export to PDF.
Will this be considered in the SQL Server Kilimajaro release (as I see we missed the 2008R2 timeframe...)

Yes, please add this feature. Many of our customers have to deliver reports as PowerPoint decks to their management so that managers can take out some slides easily and put them into their own presentations.
For us, this is one of the main reasons not to consider Reporting Services in many customer projects.

No, god, please do not do this. The fewer MS document "standards" there are in the world, the better it is. Powerpoint is only used by vapourware designers from Andersen, CMG, PWC,......

Thanks for requesting this functionality. This is not something we will be able to add in the SQL Server 2008 timeframe, but I have marked your request to be re-evaluated when we begin planning for our subsequent major release.

Thanks and best regards,
