When using some locales, you might get an error when deploying an Integration Services project (SSDT ) to SQL Server. The error goes something like this:

A .NET Framework error occurred during execution user-defined routine or aggregate “deploy-project-internal”:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The locale identifier (LCID) xxxx is not supported by SQL Server

I've seen forum threads where people have the same issue. The current workaround is that you have to change the locale of the account that runs SQL Server to en-US. A good solution would be that there's no issue at all, no matter the locale.

If this is by design, it's a pretty terrible design as there is apparently no error handling. Maybe wrap this in a nice information message that suggests users change their locale?
