Was running Feb CTP without issue.
Uninstalled Feb CTP and rebooted machine before RC0 installation attempted.
Accepted installation defaults.
Selected SSIS and SSRS for installation in addition to SQL Server engine.
Installation proceeds until 'System error' dialog box with Retry and Cancel buttons at approx. 80% of progress bar.
Above progress bar: "Running post-Windows Installer configuration timing actions."
Below progress bar: "SSISConfigAction_install_postmsi_Cpu64"
Click Retry button. Same dialog box presented.
Click Retry button second time. Same dialog presented.
Click Cancel button. "Preparing SQL Server 2008 Setup error details. Please wait.". Same dialog presented. Cursor is now a diagonal sizing error.
Click Cancel button second time. "Preparing SQL Server 2008 Setup error details. Please wait.". Same dialog presented. Cursor is now normal arrow.
Click Cancel button third time. Same result as previous time.
Setup appears to be stuck in a loop.
Click Cancel button fourth time, then clicked Cancel button on main Setup form.
Dialog box: "To quit SQL Server Setup, click Yes. If you quit the Setup operation, you must remove SQL Server 2008 before you run Setup again. To return to SQL Server Setup, click No."
Setup continues running, progress bar incrementing.
Setup process completes. All features show green/success.
Click Next button.
"Complete" form displayed. "Your SQL Server 2008 installation completed successfully."
Main display box: "Information about the Setup operation or possible next steps:"
Green check mark icon + "Your SQL Server 2008 installation completed successfully." is followed by six red X icons + "System error."
Log file shows passed for all selected features.
SSMS opens normally.
Basic operations respond normally.
