Description

I have installed SQL Server 2008 Standard from the disk supplied in the Microsoft Action Pack in October 2008. After creating a maintenance plan using the wizard, I recieve the message below whenever I try and rename the package or open the package and make a change and then try and save the package. The version of management studio is: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 10.0.1600.22 ((SQL_PreRelease).080709-1414 ) and the system is fully patched.

I'm troubleshooting this error for past few days and big pain is that I do not know why it has occured.
It occured when i'm just pulling data from flat files and dumping into SQL Server 2008. I do not think this bug should be closed.
The only option I did was (as last resort) to recreate a new solution (which will not always be easy)

I have the same issue if I make changes from the Management Studio on my workstation. If I make changes from the Management Studio on the server it works just fine. My server is running SQL 2008 Development Server edition.
