Description

If there is one feature that is obviously missing from SQL Server Management Studio today I would say that it is the ability to export and import the settings from the SSMS Tools, Options, dialog.

I have just installed the SSMS 2008 R2 August CTP and was hopeful that this would be provided although it is still not there.

I install SSMS on several machines and use those environments concurrently, it would be very useful to be able to configure SSMS once and then to use those settings everywhere.

Hi Doug,
Thank you for your suggestion to import/export settings for the R2 release. We will not be considering this for R2. We have this request already on file and we'll look at it for a future release beyond R2 to address this request.
Thank you,
Bill Ramos
