Description

SQL Server allows a blank value\emptry string ('') to be inserted into an untyped XML column. If the column is in a table that is part of a transactional replication publication the blank value will cause the Log Reader agent to fail. This happens on all versions of SQL Server since 2005 RTM.

Hi Kendal,

This issue does not repro in the early builds of next major release of SQL Server.

If you need more focus on this for existing versions of SQL Server I would recommend you contact our support staff.

You may already have a local support representative. If not you'll find more information on http://www.microsoft.com/microsoftservices/en/us/support.aspx.
