Description

I've just discovered SSDT's new "Smart defaults" feature which allows you to specify that a NOT NULL column being added to a table should have an arbitrary value added to it which is a rather nice feature.

Its a bit lacking though in that you can only specify this on a project-wide basis - in affect it could hide potential problems (it "papers over the cracks") and that could be considered dangerous. It would be nice if we could turn on smart defaults for a particular table, or even a particular column. Moreover, if we could specify it on a per-column basis it would be nice if we could specify what the default value should be too.

While we won't fix this in the current release plan, this is a great suggestion for us to consider, thanks for logging it!
