please some1 should help me out here,i cannot find the folder to delete it, so my question should i proceed with the sql installation so as for the folder to exist. i even tried using the command prompt but still,the pc is XP SP3. i will be glad to get a workaround on this thanks

The workaround worked for me as well!
Many thanks, as SQL 2012 Express would not install until the "Microsoft_Corporation" folder was deleted...
(C:\Users\[USER ID]\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation)
