Description

Add the SELECT INTO feature to SQL Azure similarly the way it works in SQL Server.

It is a huge productivity impediment not to have this feature in SQL Azure.

Thanks.

Please note that this suggestion item is specific to V2 servers in Azure SQL Database. SELECT INTO is available on V12 server. If you upgrade the server to V12 then you get almost full T-SQL compatibility with SQL Server 2014 T-SQL surface area and more. See article below for list of unsupported/partially supported in V12.

Hello Kalman,
Thanks for your feedback. We are aware of this restriction and disparity of other T-SQL features in SQL Azure. However, we have no plans to lift any of these restrictions in the near future. But we will look at the feedback and reconsider these items.
