You may find your custom 2008 SQL Templates here:

Copy From:
C:\Users\USERID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\Templates\Sql
to:
C:\Users\USERID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL Server Management Studio\11.0\Templates\Sql

Hello,
To repro this:
create a bunch of query templates in sql 2008 SSMS.

now upgrade to sql 2012 ssms.

From the menu check to see if the query templates create in sql 2008 still shows up!

As an addition, the registered servers also disappear after upgrade from sql 2008 to sql 2012

Regards,
Ranga

The description you have provided in the bug is unclear. Please provide repro steps for the problem you are seeing to help us triage this bug and we will try & incorporate this request when we revisit this functionality in a future release of SSMS.
