I'm having issues with some SSIS packages on a SQL2012 SP1 installation. Script tasks won't open or edit in Visual Studio for Applications. But while trying to repair the SQL installation to see if this would fix the issue (it didn't) I stumnbled across an issue.

Part way through the repair I get an error reporting a Network issue accessing a file SQLSysClrTypes(x64).msi and then another accessing SharedManagementObjects(x64).msi. Neither of these files exist in the path being quoted MYDISK:\1033_ENU_LP\x64\Setup\x64

There are 2 files SQLSysClrTypes.msi & SharedManagementObjects.msi

Running either of these produces the same error.

Copying these files and appedning (x64) to their names and they run fine. The Repair will also then run from the SQL Server installer.

Hi Steve, thanks for taking the time to report this. It appears that something renamed the msi's and the recommended work-around is to rename them as you did.
