It would be great if we could pass data to an SQL job. The Altert systems uses tokens which allow us to make descissions based on alert data. how about expanding the tokens to sp_start_job as an XML parameter so we can pass an xml string to a job.

The enhancements to SQL server have been great in the past 10 years. The SQL agent could really do with some attention.

Thank you for suggesting this change. Unfortunately, I would like to let you know that we won't be able to take it into the upcoming SQL Server release. We might reconsider it for one of the future releases.
