The behaviour of the :XML ON seems to have changed on SQLCMD because if the output of a query exceeds 2034 it will break the line.
This is causing problems for our CI server to interpret the output of tSQLt unit test framework.

So it won't be fixed, and the only listed workaround for large output is to use the SQL 2008 R2 version of SQLCMD? WTF! (Where's The Fix)
How about providing a work around that does not rely on use of software that is out of mainstream support.
