SQL Server Agent jobs can use tokens to get metadata about the job. For example, a running job can get its own job id from $(ESCAPE_NONE(JOBID)). There is also a token for Step Id.

However, there isn't a token for Instance_Id (ie select [instance_id] from [msdb].[dbo].[sysjobhistory]). I would find this very helpful if you could implement this.

It's been a few years, can this be implemented now?

Any chance this will be re-visited?

Hello Veratech. After carefully evaluating all of the suggestion items in our pipeline, we are closing items that we will not implement in the near future due to current higher priority items. We will re-evaluate the closed suggestions again in the future based on the product roadmap. Thanks again for providing the product suggestion and continued support for our product.
