Description

Even when the header/footer is set not to print on the first page, it still leaves a white blank space when exported to PDF.

I've been told in the forums that this behavior is by design but for all practical purposes in my job this is a bug that is creating major problems with a client. (We need both a full page image on the first page and header/footers on the rest.)

What work arounds are available? You either put it as a table footer that just floats from page to page, or deal with the white space at the end of the pages. It is very common. It is common if you dont want the footer on every page!

Hello,
Thank you for submitting this feedback. After carefully evaluating all of the bugs in our pipeline, we are closing bugs that we will not fix in the current or future versions of SQL Server. The reasons for closing these bugs are following:
1.     The fix is risky to implement in the current version of the product (service packs)
2.     Scenarios reported in the bug are not common enough
3.     A viable workaround is available

If the issue is a critical business interruption, please call CSS (Customer Support Services).

Thanks again for reporting the product issue and continued support in improving our product.
