Description

The system configuration check for ServerCoreBlockUnsupportedFeaturesCheck fails if Integration Services is present, despite the comment of the rule being:

You have selected a feature that is not supported on Windows Server Core. The supported features on Windows Server Core are: Database Engine Services, SQL Server Replication, Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search, Analysis Services, Client Tools Connectivity, Integration Services, and SQL Client Connectivity SDK.

Skipping this rule allows a successful install.

That's interesting, given we installed these servers via the attached configuration file, which shouldn't have included SSMS. Problem with the 2012 installer?

Hi Steve, thanks for taking the time to report this. Based on the attached logs it appears that you have some features installed that are not supported on Server Core. Namely SSMS is installed and selective upgrade is not supported.

thanks,
