Description

I had tried to copy a string array into an integer array, which lead to MESSAGE1. Since ALT-F8 does not work any more (on my computer?) I tried to restart the debuggin, which lead to MESSAGE2. After restarting VB.NET (Express Edition) MEsSAGE2, debugging could be started without MESSAGE2. (By the way: the restart of VB.NET was performed much faster then a usual start.

(messages in English:
MESSAGE1: "The object of the type System.String[] can not be converted into type System.Int32[] .....",
MESSAGE2: "file obj\Debug\Ahnen.exe can not be copied into .\bin\Ahnen.exe. The process can not access the file .\bin\Ahnen.exe because it is beeing used by another process"

Hi Wirus,

Thanks for the feedback! However, we have been unable to reproduce the problem you describe. Here's what we did:
1) Using VB.NET Express
2) Created a VB program that contains a string and integer array
3) Attempted to copy the integer array into the string array.
4) Got the first message you mentioned.

At this point, we're not sure what you were intending on doing when you pressed Alt-F8. You said it no longer works, but truthfully, we don't suspect that what we know it's mapped to is what you intended. For all the keyboard presets (set through Tools->Import and Export Settings profile selection), we always found that Alt-F8 was mapped to View.Macro Explorer.

When we did restart debugging it worked without ever showing Message2.

Please feel free to go ahead and reactivate this issue with further instructions or details and we'll investigate more.

Thanks again,
Jim Griesmer
