Hi Neil.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully when you move to Windows 7 you can use Visual Studio 2010. Please note the support lifecycle for Windows XP is coming up within the next year.

Thanks
Visual Studio Product Team.

Hi Visual Studio Product Team,

Visual Studio 2010 will not be usable for me if I have to reach for the mouse every time I close a test results details window.

Sincerely,
Neil

Hi Neil,

After looking into this, it seems that clicking inside the code file restores the cursor. We have also found that this issue does not occur with Windows 7. At this point, the workaround seems relatively simple and that this works fine in Windows 7.

Thanks
Visual Studio Product Team.

Hi Neil,

Try as I am, I followed the steps in your video and even rewrote the code to look like yours and I just for the life of me cannot get it to reproduce. Can you repro it on a different machine?

Thanks

It is the TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (TSCC).

Hi Neil,

It seems you recorded this using a codec that I do not have installed. Do you know what codec that was?

Thanks

Hi Visual Studio,

Sorry I forgot to include the video. Those steps you gave reproduce the bug on my machine.

Hi Neal

Unfortunately we cannot find the video file you sent. We tried this on Visual Studio Beta2 by doing the following:
- Open C# Test Project
- Run the TestMethod that it created
- Right-click the result (which passed) in the Test Results
- Selected View Details
- Closed out the detail
- Click in the UnitTest1.cs file

We were not able to reproduce the problem. We will close this out as no-repro on Beta2 VS 2010.

Thanks
Visual Studio Product Team
