Description

When configuring a LinqDataSource the dialog opens with the "Show only DataContext objects" unchecked and a list of types... You can find the DataContext in the list and select it, however if you were to check "Show only DataContext objects" it then disappears.

This is indeed a bug. We won't be able to fix it for Visual Studio 2010 RTM. But it will be addressed in the service pack.

We were able to reproduce this internally now. It happens if you are targeting the 3.5 framework in VS 2010. We are moving this bug to the appropriate team. Thanks for the video!

I encountered this on two completely different solutions. Both solutions were upgrades from VS2008 solutions using the upgrade wizard.

I have attached a solution as well as created a video when creating that solution which shows the issue.

We have been unable to reproduce this internally on the latest builds of the product. The dialog box should open up with the option checked by default and only display objects that derive from DataContext.
