Description

When the IDE is maximized by hand, DTE.MainWindow.Width or DTE.MainWindow.Height don't return the actual IDE size (which would be the size of the screen) but the IDE size when it is not maximized.

When the IDE is maximized through code, it returns the correct value.

Hello Carlos,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug, where DTE.MainWindow.Width and DTE.MainWindow.Height don't return correct size when IDE maximized by hand. (But works fine if it’s maximized via code.) I was glad to read on your blog that you were able to work around this, as this bug does not meet the fix bar at this point in the product cycle. I will be closing this bug as “Won’t Fix” since it will not be addressed in Visual Studio 2010 RTM, but we will track this for possibly fixing in a future release.

Thank you,
Suzanne Hansen, Program Manager, Visual Studio Platform Shell Team
