Description

Normally when you press enter after typing a property name and type and pressing Enter key on keyboard it automatically creates the Get and Set and add's End Property to the end.

In this version of Visual Studio Ultimate 2010 RC it doesn't do that.

Like the new behaviour, saves a lot of time. Did frustrate me a lot as I didn't know about this 'by design' feature, and that you have to type s or g after the one-line property definition to make it appear for more advanced scenarios.

Hi,

Thanks for touching base with us about this. The reason that we no longer generate the full property after pressing ENTER on "Public Property Test As String", is because we have added a new feature: auto-implemented properties. You can read about them at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd293589(VS.100).aspx. So, in Visual Studio 2010 the code "Public Property Test As String" is now a complete and working property. However, if you still wish to generate the property body as in Visual Studio 2008, just type Get<ENTER> on the very next line.

Please feel free to contact me directly at dustinca@microsoft.com if you have additional comments or suggestions.

Kind Regards,
Dustin Campbell
