I have a SQL Reporting Services project created in Visual Studio 2008 (not BIDS) that cannot be opened in vs2010.

It converts the solution file but cannot open the rptProj file.

here we are more than a year later and still no progress? The year is 2011, the software I have to use is 2008, despite nearly a year of access to the 2010 version. Why? "By design" he says. c'mon guys this is terrible.

Thanks for the info. Can you give us any kind of ETA on when this will be resolved?

Thank you for your feedback.

rtproj created in Business Intelligence Development Studio 2008 or 2008 R2 currently only works in the Visual Studio 2008 shell. This is a feature that is under consideration for future releases of SQL Server and is being tracked by another work item in our database.

I am resolving this issue by design for Visual Studio 2010. And this issue will be tracked by the SQL Server customer bug, which already exists.
