The scroll wheel on my mouse works with every application on my computer with the exception of Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.21022.8 RTM.  My mouse is a HID-compliant mouse manufactured by Microsoft and the device status is working property.

I have searched the internet, but have not been able to find a post describing my exact problem.  Any help you may be able to provide on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Hi fishdotnet and Geoff,

Thank you for reporting (and commenting on) this bug. We unfortunately haven't been able to reproduce the problem, even with the mouse you described. I'll make the obvious suggestion and ask that you be sure you have the most current mouse drivers, but if the mouse is working correctly for other applications we understand that this is unlikely to fix the issue. Do either of you have custom system-wide settings for your mouse wheel (typically set in the Control Panel)?

We're unfortunately unable to investigate further without being able to reproduce the bug, so I'm sorry to resolve it as Not Repro. If you do have custom mouse wheel settings, we may reopen the bug if there's sufficient information to warrant an investigation, but we don't have enough information to move forward at this point.
