Doug, I don't know why Forefront would cause this message to appear. One known cause is a 20 char username, which the specified patch will fix. Does that do it?

There is a hotfix for this issue now, you can download it from

May be caused by Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection. Adding an exclusion for "C:\Users\doug\documents\visual studio 2010" SEEMS to have resolved the problem.
