Description

When selecting characters in the text editor in Visual Studio 2010 I noticed that using the Shift + Ctrl + arrow key to select text will only work until the selected text reaches across the window. After that, the text continues to be selected, but it is out of the viewable area of the window.

Dropping the Ctrl button and continuing with Shift + arrow key will bring the cursor back into view, but I'm sure this is not the intended behavior.

Hi jhon614,

Thank you for reporting this bug. Our experience was the same as yours - the word navigation logic is working as expected, but the caret is incorrectly scrolled out of view. I'm writing to let you know that although we couldn't fit this in before VS 2010 RTM, we have checked in a fix for this caret visibility issue for the next version of Visual Studio. We will also consider the fix for VS 2010 SP1.

Thanks for using Visual Studio 2010 and sending your feedback!
