This is similar to a problem that GetSelText used to have.  The GetTextRange only allocates "nLast - nFirst + 1" characters, but it needs to double that because every character can take up two bytes in MBCS.

Thanks for the report. This issue has been fixed in MFC for the next major release of Visual Studio.
