I don't know why I can't simply submit this bug to a basic Silverlight forum, or why you requested so much information, which I supplied incorrectly to spite you, but here's the single small issue that I had to go through a good half an hour to report/request help with.

When I open anything in Silverlight in full screen, and click somewhere else it exits full screen. I know that it's suppose to ask if I would like to keep it full screened, but it doesn't. I've tried a full uninstall/reinstall of Silverlight, clearing out all registries and everything. It still acts like the feature was never added in 4. I've checked the permissions list in Silverlight and it's completely blank, so I know it didn't save it as always exit full screen. I just want to watch Netflix movies on my second monitor in full screen...

I am also experiencing this issue as well. A google search of this issue yields many forums discussing it. It is not isolated. This was never an issue with Windows Vista. I have recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. This is a clean install. The first time I played a video full screen on Netflix I was asked to allow silverlight to play fullscreen or what ever it says. I select yes. And I too see nothing in the permissions tab of the silverlight interface. I have all the latest Microsoft patches.

Hi Gl33m,

First, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to log this bug about pinned full-screen mode in Silverlight. What you are referring to is commonly known as 'pinned full-screen mode'. With pinned full-screen mode on, a prompt will show up when first going into full-screen asking the user if this is the desired behavior (and it's within this prompt that you can specify whether you want your choice to be saved to avoid being asked again). This is along the lines of your expectations.

However, pinned full-screen mode is not on by default in Silverlight 4; it is up to the app developer to enable it. If you do not see the prompt when going into full-screen mode, it is because the app does not have pinned full-screen mode enabled. I've double-checked that pinned FS mode works as expected on the latest version of Silverlight 4, and the latest internal version of Silverlight 5, both for Windows and Mac. I've also double-checked that the prompt does indeed show up in the Netflix app, proving that they have enabled this for SL4.

I've resolved the issue as 'Not Repro' because I haven't been able to reproduce your issue. If you can still reproduce this bug, please feel free to reactivate it and contact me directly (see below for contact information). We can then work together to understand the circumstances under which the bug repros.

Thanks again for your input.
