When you create a new Project with the VS2010 (Ultimate, with SP1) AppWizard, it creates the In-Place frame (IpFrame.cpp, IpFrame.h: based on COleDocIPFrameWndEx) to use the old-style toolbars (based on CToolbar) instead of CMFCToolbar.

Sorry, I didn't get any notification e-mail for the previous post (from MS-Moderator09 on the 5th) !

The point I'm trying to make is that when you generate a new project (as given in "Steps to reproduce" above), the AppWizard generates a CMFCToolbar member variable in MainFrm.h, but a CToolbar member variable in IpFrame.h.
This means when the application is running normally, it will show the new-style (office-look) toolbars, but when it is active as a "in-place" OLE-Server, it will show the old-style (grey) toolbars.

I'm attaching two screenshots:
- Normal-Run.JPG shows how the app looks when run normally
- OLE-in-Container.JPG shows the app inplace-active in an OLE Conainer application

As you can see, the application shows the old-style (grey) toolbars when it is running as an OLE-Server, this happens because of the CToolbar class being used in IpFrame (instead of CMFCToolbar).

Hope this helps!
