Description

This is reported from the forum thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wpf/thread/a633627b-9fa3-4ffc-bdeb-f81350695651

Bindings like this
  SelectedItem="{Binding Element[Child].Value}"
works good in .NET 3.5. But it breaks in .NET 4.

The data binding (TwoWay) still works from source to target. But it does't update from target to source any more.

This has been previously reported - see http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/564419/combobox-and-datagridcomboboxcolumn-two-way-data-binding-broken-in-net-4-with-xlinq-for-the-selecteditem-selecteditembindings-property.

As mentioned there, it is fixed for WPF 4.5, and a QFE for 4.0 is available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2328886.
